We can exclusively reveal that Jess McLeod, Aiden Howard, Hana Huggins, Katharine Isabelle, Cassandra Naud and Justin Long have joined the cast of holiday-themed slasher ‘It’s a Wonderful Knife,’ starring Jane Widdop and Joel McHale.
Directed by Tyler MacIntyre and written by Michael Kennedy, it follows Winnie Carruthers, whose life is less than wonderful a year after she saves her town from a psychotic killer on Christmas Eve — but when she wishes she’d never been born, she finds herself in a nightmare parallel universe and discovers that things could be much, much worse without her. Now that the killer has returned, she must work with the town misfits to identify the killer and return to her own reality. Production has just wrapped in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
MacIntyre is known for directing 2017 slasher ‘Tragedy Girls,’ which starred Brianna Hildebrand, Alexandra Shipp, Jack Quaid and Josh Hutcherson, while Kennedy made his debut as a screenwriter with acclaimed 2020 slasher ‘Freaky.’ McLeod is known for her role in Peacock series ‘One of Us is Lying,’ while Howard appeared in ‘Firefly Lane’ and can be next seen in the upcoming ‘Ghostbusters’ TV show. Isabelle is known for her role as Ginger Fitzgerald in cult classic ‘Ginger Snaps,’ while Naud most recently appeared in horror movie ‘Influencer,’ set to be released on Shudder on May 26.
