Josh Hartnett and Saleka to Star in M. Night Shyamalan’s Latest Film (EXCLUSIVE)

Josh Hartnett and Saleka will star in M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming film, we can exclusively reveal.

The film, which was previously known as Trap and is filming under the codename Good Grades, is now filming in Canada. Shyamalan, who produces and funds his films himself, has secured an interim agreement from SAG-AFTRA, allowing him to film the movie during the actors’ strike.

Plot details are currently under wraps but Shyamalan previously described the film as a “psychological thriller set at a concert.” Saleka Shyamalan will play a popstar in the film whose concert is at the heart of the story. Josh Hartnett will play a father who takes his child to a concert, and unwittingly gets caught up in the surrounding events.

Hartnett has most recently been seen in Christopher Nolan‘s Oppenheimer opposite Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert De Niro and Florence Pugh. He can next be seen in James Madigan’s Fight Or Flight alongside Charithra Chandran and Julian Kostov. This is Saleka‘s acting debut, having recorded original songs for her father’s 2021 film Old, as well as his Apple TV+ show Servant.

Shyamalan most recently released his film Knock at the Cabin, which grossed over $50M at the global box office and was met with mostly positive reviews from critics. He also recently signed a multi-year first-look deal with Warner Bros. and produced Celine Held and Logan George‘s Caddo Lake, set for debut next year.
