Exclusive New Look at ‘OVER YOUR DEAD BODY’

Continuing our Spring Movie Preview, here is an exclusive new look at Jason Segel and Samara Weaving in Jorma Taccone‘s ‘OVER YOUR DEAD BODY,’ debuting in theaters April 24.

When miserable couple Dan and Lisa retreat to a remote cabin for a romantic reset, each arrives with a secret plan to murder the other. Their carefully plotted traps and counterplots quickly unravel when a dangerous crew crashes the weekend with plans of their own. As the toxic getaway spirals into chaotic carnage, Dan and Lisa must survive the intruders, each other, and figure out if they want to save their marriage or survive it.

Written by Nick Kocher and Brian McElhany, ‘OVER YOUR DEAD BODY’  is a remake of the 2021 Norwegian film ‘THE TRIP’ from filmmaker Tommy Wirkola and features an all-star cast that includes Jason Segel, Samara Weaving, Timothy Olyphant, Keith Jardine and Juliette Lewis.

“This film is a blend of many genres, and I had an absolute blast making it with this amazing cast,” says Taccone. “The level of commitment was something other directors can only dream about. I also loved the challenge of remaking a film which I absolutely adore. Shooting was jam-packed with stunts, cars, boats, gore, crazy physical challenges, weather, the fading daylight of Finland and every day was a pleasure.”

“It was one of those times where something comes across your desk and you’re going, um, hell yeah,” says Weaving. “It was such a great script, such a great director, and the cast was incredible. The only downside was it was in Finland in the middle of winter with four hours of daylight, but worth it.”

‘OVER YOUR DEAD BODY’ debuts in theaters on April 24.
